When I started Handmade Flowers in 2014, it was right after my own wedding – one of the last, it seems, of a spate of weddings that summer and the previous few years. I guess I must be at that age now when all the weddings are starting to peter out…so next come the babies!!
My darling friend Leonie married her university sweetheart Rob in October 2012 (she had a paper flower bouquet too!), and they recently welcomed their first child into the world – a beautiful little girl called Peggy.
I started this rainbow ripple baby blanket almost as soon as I found out Leonie was pregnant, and couldn’t wait to give it to her. This photo of Peggy even made it on to the official ‘thank you’ cards with the caption, “Peggy has landed!”
The rainbow ripple baby blanket pattern is a free download from Ravelry – it’s pretty easy so feel free to make your own!
However, if you don’t quite have the required crochet hook skills (or the time, or inclination!), the pattern author has given permission for sales to be made from the pattern so I’ll happily make one for you in whichever colours you like. Please contact me for a quote!
